Ms. Cowper is a Vice President in Sibson’s New York office with over 15 years of experience in human capital consulting, with a focus on compensation and performance management assessment and design. She provides innovative solutions for attracting and retaining key talent as well as aligning the organizational structure and employees to the organizational strategy. She leads many of the firm’s compensation-related initiatives across a variety of industries. Her responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the design and assessment of broad-based, faculty, and executive employee engagement, compensation, incentive and performance management programs
  • Training junior staff in benchmarking, job analysis, structure design and project management
  • Leading Sibson’s annual compensation planning initiative which projects actual salary increase budgets and structure adjustments across different industry groups and employee levels

Past and current client work includes:

  • A healthcare organization conducted its annual employee engagement survey and needed assistance in prioritizing the key issues. Ms. Cowper analyzed the survey results and worked with various functional sub-committees to prioritize key concerns, identify the tools and resources needed, outline key milestones, and develop an implementation plan and strategy.
  • A technology start-up firm engaged Sibson to design a variable compensation strategy and incentive program that embraced the organization’s unique culture, values, and mission, while recognizing its overall growth position. Ms. Cowper worked with the company to create a program that appropriately rewarded employees for their performance and contributions, aligned with the company’s culture and incented the desired employee behaviors.
  • A hospitality management company recently became a wholly owned subsidiary of a larger organization and was seeking to develop a compensation program and annual incentive plan that aligned with their business objectives. Ms. Cowper worked with the executive team to design the pay structure and annual incentive plans for three different employee groups that supported both the overall mission of the company and employee feedback.

Prior to joining Sibson, Ms. Cowper was a Human Capital Consultant at Mercer. Her work included developing total compensation strategies, conducting current state and external competitive assessments of various employee groups for select Fortune 500 companies and contributing to the design of annual and long-term incentive programs.

Ms. Cowper earned a BA degree in Economics and Sociology from Cornell University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She has received the firm’s prestigious Quality Star Award.
