Kevin is a Senior Vice President and the Canadian Business Leader, based in Segal’s Edmonton office. He has more than 20 years of employee benefits and actuarial consulting experience in Canada. He serves as a Consulting Actuary and Client Relationship Manager for several Canadian pension and health clients, including Multiemployer Pension Plans and Employee Life and Health Trusts located across Canada. In addition, he is the CRM for several union staff plans registered in Canada.

Kevin has specialized expertise in pension plan funding, pension plan conversions, pension and health fund risk management and employee communication strategies. Prior to becoming the Canadian Business Leader, he was the Retirement Practice Leader for Canada.

Prior to joining Segal, Kevin spent 15 years consulting to pension clients across Canada. Former clients include many large and small Trusteed pension plans in Canada. He was a national leader for the development and implementation of customized online retirement solutions, which include retirement modelling tools, decisions making tools and total reward statements.

Kevin holds a BS degree with a major in Mathematics and minor in Chemistry from Thompson Rivers University. He is a qualified actuary and holds Fellowship with both the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries.

Kevin is a frequent speaker at International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans conferences. He has been a guest speaker at the Annual Conference for the National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans and frequently speaks at multiemployer focused pension and benefit conferences. He has been quoted in Benefits Canada magazine.
